We’re a small and nimble production company with a ton of experience in all aspects of production. Collectively we have worked on long form television projects, variety talk shows, live comedy events, commercials,  short films and feature motion pictures.

We bring a fresh approach to each project. Our overhead and operational expenses are low and the savings get reflected in the quality of our work. We have great relationships with crew and vendors to help us maximize production value while managing costs.

 

Our house is yours when we work together. We’re Based in Los Angeles with scalable space to accommodate productions.

 

Our experience has taught us the key to production is in pre-production, organization and creative understanding. when combined, these attributes further help us to maximize production quality, while saving money.

Our relationships are not limited to production but extend to post. We have numerous contacts to assist with post, including editorial, design, animation, visual effects, color, music, sound and finishing.

Our in-depth of knowledge allows for collaboration, guidance and counsel to help support our clients’ goals. Our accounting practices are established to build trust and confidence in long-term relationships.

LARRY KASTER   FOUNDER & PRODUCER

Larry Kaster is a producer and partner in Rush Hour Productions, a full-service TV and Film production company based in Los Angeles. He started his career in lighting freelancing in both television and film productions for over 30 years. Mr. Kaster’s motion picture film credits include, “Something the Lord Made,” “A Lesson Before Dying,” “Geronimo," “Best of the Best," and many other projects. He co-founded Rush Hour Productions in 1987 and has since produced many productions including 5 seasons of “Martin Lawrence Presents 1st Amendment Stand-up,” “Primetime,” “Way Black When,” “Comedy All-Stars” and many others.  He has also produced the films “The Red House,” “Uninvited,” “Shoot It,” and others. The breadth of Mr. Kaster’s production experience with Rush Hour comprises of industrial films, commercials, comedy specials, music videos and dramatic films. He is equally skilled in shooting all forms of video, digital and traditional film mediums.  

 

In addition to his role in Rush Hour Productions, Mr. Kaster continues to provide creative design and production services for a wide variety of long form film projects.

DAVID KLEINMAN   FOUNDER & PRODUCER

David Kleinman is an entertainment executive and producer with a demonstrated history working in the broadcast media industry. In addition to a solid foundation in live action production, his experience includes design, animation, visual effects and new media. His work encompasses short and long form film projects, broadcast television content and advertising. David’s long and distinguished career as a line producer included short films and hundreds of commercials with filming experience throughout the United States, Eastern Europe, the United Kingdom and Canada. 

 

In 2005 he worked with Director James Cameron and VFX Supervisor Rob Legato, managing the R&D team in the development of the filmmaking technique employed in the production of AVATAR. 

 

In 2006 David became the managing director of design studio Blind Visual Propaganda where he oversaw award winning projects for artists like Gnarls Barkley, The Raveonettes, Cinematic Orchestra, Oppenheimer Funds and Audi. 

 

Since leaving Blind, David has consulted for numerous studios and creative technology companies, most recently with Giantstep Studios (Korea/US), selected as a Most Innovative Company for 2021 by FAST COMPANY. 

 

He continues his ongoing work with Larry Kaster in developing long form, scripted narrative projects as well as un-scripted documentary series. 

Kimberly Bio

KIMBERLY HOLMES LAMAR   HEAD OF PRODUCTION

Kimberly H. Lamar is a veteran Television and Online Content Producer
who executes projects from concept to completion. She specializes in
producing edgy and thought-provoking short films, television pilots and
series, music videos, documentaries, business training videos and
webisodes. As Head of Production for Rush Hour Productions, she managed
several projects, including the short film, “The Red House," which
was recognized in over 15 film festivals.


Kimberly developed a passion for production and storytelling in the video
format. She is a two-time Emmy Award winning Producer for Best Public
Affairs Information Series in the Los Angeles area for the show, “Making it!
Minority Success Stories.” It featured the triumphs, struggles, and successes
of small business owners who dared to pursue the American dream of
entrepreneurship.


As Director of Operations and Events Manager for Delucslife Media, LLC,
she provided leadership and professional expertise in planning and managing
the efficient execution of several live events and virtual conferences for as
few as 12, and as many as 100 participants. Her responsibilities afforded her
the opportunity to collaboratively work cross-functionally with marketing
professionals to create social media campaigns and other digital and
traditional collateral materials to promote upcoming events.
